College of Law Wellbeing Week 2017
Week 9 feels getting to you? Same.
That’s why the La Trobe Law Students’ Association in conjunction with the College of Law and La Trobe Law School will be running a wellbeing week in week 11 (May 15th-May 18th)!
We’ll be kicking off on Monday with our bake sale in the Agora, where we will provide freshly baked goods for a gold coin donation. The LSA will be present in the Agora on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am-1pm for a friendly chat or some baked goods and adorable therapy dogs! Come and have a chat about how you are going or anything you’d like to see the LSA do to make your experience at law school more relaxed and memorable. We will also be collecting donations for the Tristan Jepson Memorial Foundation to create awareness of depression and anxiety within the legal profession.
The law school will be running a 101 session on exam success at 1pm on Tuesday in the Moot Court, where refreshments will be provided afterwards. This will be a great opportunity to get some tips for staying calm and collected during exam times.
No Dumb Questions: How to get ahead @ law school is a Q&A panel that will run on Wednesday at 1pm-2pm in the Moot Court. The panel will comprise of La Trobe faculty and LSA president Mariam Francis, who will be answering your questions on anything and everything related to improving your law school experience.
Thursday we’ll be finishing off wellbeing week with a forum on succeeding at law school at 12pm in the Moot Court. This session will have past La Trobe law students sharing their experiences, struggles and the strategies they used to get through it all.
We look forward to seeing you then! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Director of Education, Nada Elagha at firstname.lastname@example.org.
